The course also has a driving range that is open seven days a week for golfers looking to put in some extra work on their games. Summer Fun
“Bucket Per Day” Looking for something to do with your child this summer break that doesn’t have to cost you money to do? The activity can be educational as well as fun and interesting to parents, while spending quality time with your child.
If you like the idea, Western Greens Golf Course, 2475 Johnson St. in Marne, would like to invite you and your child (children) to come out to the driving range for a free bucket of balls per child every day! This event will take place all summer long! (June 1st through September 1st).
The requirements are: your child would be between the ages of 7years (by June 1) and up to the age and including the age of 15 years. Western Greens offers not only a great course for your round of golf with friends but a great value for your meal afterward as well. If you would like to use our covered pavillion that seats 80 dinner guests (and room for more if needed) and prepare the dinner yourself, that is an option. Located on the pavillion are two 6 foot charcoal grills for your use if you choose to do so. If you prefer, Western Greens also offers a menu for you to choose from and we will do the cooking for you for a fee. Call for more details. Western Greens, located at 2475 Johnson Ave., in Marne, is a course with an abundance of natural beauty. Architect Mark DeVries designed a well-laid-out course covering 6,210 yards. The 18-hole, par-71 course features 28 sand traps, three ponds, and a slew of tight, tree-lined fairways that offer a scenic treat to golfers from Spring through Fall. Among the many standout holes at Western Greens is the 14th hole. A 514-yard, par-5 from the white tees, No. 14 is a challenging, scenic hole that includes some of the ponds on the course.
